The percentage of students gaining a pass (which equates to level 4 or above in 5 or more subjects including English and maths) is 80%. Across the board 50 students (an amazing 24% of the Year group) averaged a level 7 or better in all their Attainment 8 subjects. In terms of targets, the school has met or exceeded virtually all internal measures. Overall the Attainment 8 figure is (provisionally) an excellent 55 points, up considerably from last year, with 31% achieving the English Baccalaureate.

  • There were 136 Grade 9’s – a lot higher than would be expected
  • 30% of all GCSE grades are Grade 7 or above (including A*/A grade for Legacy subjects)
  • 3 students gained straight grade 9’s (90 Attainment 8 points)
  • 50 students (24%) gained 70 or more Attainment 8 points (equivalent to straight A grades and better in old money!)
