School Re-opening Information

Exams

A reminder that key stage 5 results day is Thursday 13th August and key stage 4 results day is Thursday 20th August. Here are the letters that were sent home before summer with details.

Please note that in addition to the exam board results, we will also be publishing our centre-assessed grades. You will see these on My Child At School / the VLE in the same place as your exam board grades.

These are the grades that were provided by teachers. Page 4 of Ofqual’s guidance for students provides more information on how these grades work:

AS and A level – entry for autumn exam series

Any student who wishes to be entered for an AS level or an A level in the autumn exam series must email bl.exams@brineleas.co.uk by Tuesday 1st September stating the subject for which they wish to be entered.

You will receive an acknowledgement email within 24 hours. If you don’t receive this, please call school (625663) and ask for the exams office ASAP. Since timescales on these entries are very tight, this is ‘back up’ to ensure that all requests are received and no emails are lost through typos in the address, for example.

Uniform

We are aware that there has been an issue with the stock of ties due to some of them being produced in an incorrect colour, if you have purchased a tie that is navy blue rather than royal blue please be reassured that it can be exchanged for the correct one through Schools In, Nantwich and you do not need to make an appointment if you are only exchanging a tie.

Stock will be available from this weekend at both uniform shops in Hanley and Nantwich.
