Individual and impartial information is provided by our Careers and Work Related Learning Coordinator, Jo Morrison. Careers Guidance can support you in making good career choices for the future. Support is available with applying for Post 16 studies, apprenticeships or training with employment as well as help with preparing for interviews and putting CV’s together. Students from Year 8 through to Year 13 are able to arrange 1:1 appointments.
The Brine Leas Careers Office is situated in room AG33 opposite the music rooms available for any students requiring information, advice or guidance. For Year 11 students in particular, drop in is available at both break and lunch times if you just have a question, need to book an appointment, want a quick chat or to pick up some literature or a prospectus.
There are some really useful websites to support you with careers research including the National Careers Service www.nationalcareersservice.direct.gov.uk. Students can also access Eclips online in school from any PC as well. See login posters around the school and in the school library.
Appointments are available throughout the day Monday to Friday and appointment cards are sent out via Progress Teachers in the morning registers.
